Owned and operated by Mark and Linda Hamel, HEARTLAND PARTNERS REALTY & AUCTIONEERS is a Real Estate and Auction company selling Real Estate and conducting auctions of property primarily in Nebraska and Kansas. Personal Property Auctions have many moving parts and require extra people to efficiently conduct the Auction. The two primary team members that are relied on for these Auctions are Lana Demuth and John Howsden. Lana assists Linda with the buyer registration and clerking duties. John is a field rep, ringman and auctioneer as well as an expert on machinery and equipment. Both are seasoned auction veterans. Mark is also an area Rep with the Nebraska Rod & Custom Association. He is certified with the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles for the inspection of vehicles ranging from the 1920’s to 1980’s through the NRCA. HEARTLAND PARTNERS has conducted online auctions for the liquidation of numerous collector vehicles for estates and individuals.

Literally growing up in the business has resulted in valuable relationships that have formed over time. The HEARTLAND PARTNERS team has counseled and consulted individuals, partnerships, businesses, corporations, financial institutions and government municipalities regarding the liquidation of valuable assets. Depending on the client's individual circumstances as well as the time frame in which the process needs to be completed, the Firm and Time Defined Sale of Assets via the Auction Method is often the way to achieve the desired results in a specified period of time. The competitive bidding process created by the Auction produces the maximum amount the market will pay for the Assets offered. A comprehensive advertising campaign is formulated and implemented to market the client's assets. The Auction is conducted, the buyer identified, the contract is completed and Closing is scheduled for 15 to 20 days following the Auction. Both buyer and seller appreciate the efficiency and transparency of the Auction process. It's what we do and it works.

Both Mark and Linda are natives of southwest Nebraska. Mark is a second-generation Auctioneer, who continues the business that his father began in this area in 1948. Mark obtained his Nebraska Real Estate License in 1991 and is a Licensed Real Estate Broker in Nebraska and Kansas. Having been an Auctioneer since 1973, he is also a member of both the Nebraska Auctioneers Association and the National Auctioneers Association. In 2006 Mark completed the AARE Course offered by the National Auctioneers Association to receive the distinguished Accredited Auctioneer of Real Estate designation. He also completed courses through the Realtors Land Institute that include Land 101: Fundamentals of Land Brokerage, Agricultural Land Brokerage & Marketing and Tax Deferred 1031 Exchanges.

 

Linda is also a second-generation “main street business owner”. Her mother owned and operated a ladies ready-to-wear store in Arapahoe, NE for over 30 years, in which Linda was also involved as a sales associate. Linda runs the office and handles the day to day business of HEARTLAND PARTNERS REALTY & AUCTIONEERS in addition to the clerking, billing and accounting for the Auctions, both live-on-site and online. Linda has been a HEARTLAND PARTNERS Real Estate Sales associate since 1991. She has received awards and recognition for outstanding sales achievements in residential property sales throughout her 30+ years in the business.
